Unilever Nigeria Plc has announced a significant dividend distribution of N18.67 billion to its shareholders for the 2025 financial year. The approval was formalized during the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on May 8, 2026, in Lagos.
The resolution, as detailed in a statement signed by Company Secretary Peter Dada, confirmed a final dividend of N3.25 per share. This amounts to a total payout of N18,671,267,605.25, which will be subject to relevant withholding taxes and statutory deductions.
The company specified that the dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the company’s register of members at the close of business on April 10, 2026. This date serves as the qualification deadline for receiving the payout.
The approved dividend will be deducted from the amount standing to the credit of the statement of comprehensive income for the 2025 financial year. This declaration underscores the company's stronger earnings performance and enhanced profitability during the period under review.
The AGM, held at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, saw shareholders consider and approve the company’s audited financial statements for 2025 before endorsing the dividend resolution.
