Ecobank Nigeria has unveiled the Ecobank Business App, a new digital banking platform designed to boost the growth and sustainability of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across the country. According to a statement by the bank, the app is now available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

The Ecobank Business App enables business owners to manage payments, monitor transactions, oversee cash flow, and run daily financial operations directly from their mobile devices, reducing delays, queues, and operational inefficiencies.

Speaking at the launch in Lagos, Kola Adeleke, executive director, consumer and commercial bank, said the platform was tailored to meet the diverse needs of Nigeria’s SME sector. “The Ecobank Business App caters to traders, retailers, tech start-ups, online businesses, hospitality operators, farmers, manufacturers, construction firms, professionals, schools, and associations that require transparent and efficient financial management,” he said.

The app offers sector-specific functionalities: faster payment collection for merchants and retailers, seamless digital transactions for online businesses, efficient vendor and staff management for hospitality operators, timely payments for agriculture value chains, and secure handling of bulk and high-value transactions for manufacturers and construction firms. Professionals such as lawyers and consultants can easily issue invoices and receive payments, while schools and associations can streamline fee and dues collection and reporting from a single platform.

The launch reinforces Ecobank’s commitment to empowering SMEs through digital innovation, structured loans, trade support, guarantees, and equipment financing. The bank also aims to reactivate dormant SME accounts, deepen market penetration, encourage digital adoption, and expand value-chain financing through strategic partnerships with corporate anchors.

With the Ecobank Business App, Ecobank Nigeria strengthens its position as a dependable growth partner for SMEs, delivering tools that enable businesses to operate more efficiently, grow faster, and compete effectively in the digital economy.
