Zichis Targets N540 Million Monthly Revenue After Feed Mill Upgrade

Newly listed Zichis Agro-Allied Industries Plc announced its intention to achieve N540 million in monthly revenue. This target follows a significant ramp-up in production capacity and expansion of its land bank, with the company's animal feed production now operating at five tonnes per hour.

The Executive Director, Finance & Strategies, Mr. Chris Ogbaisi, disclosed this to financial journalists on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. He confirmed that the animal feed mill, initially with a 2 tonnes per hour capacity, has been upgraded and is now operational at 5-tonne-per-hour capacity.

This strategic development is part of the company’s medium-to-long term value creation roadmap aimed at enhancing shareholder returns and the outlook for the Zichis brand.

Ogbaisi also confirmed that the company has commenced clearing a 2,000-acre farm estate. This move is strategically timed to coincide with the current planting season and aims to expand the agricultural base supporting the animal feed business.

These disclosures come amidst a seven-session losing streak for Zichis shares on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), which the Executive Director partly attributed to profit-taking.

Operational Details from Zichis Executive Director:

Chris Ogbaisi elaborated that the upgraded feed mill has an hourly production capacity of 5 tonnes. It is projected to produce approximately 1,200 tonnes monthly, based on 12 operating cycles over 20 working days.

“This key operations upgrade translates to approximately 40,000 bags of animal feed per month, with each bag priced between N13,500 and N14,000,” Ogbaisi explained. He added, “At full production capacity, the operation is expected to generate a projected monthly turnover exceeding N540 million.”

Ogbaisi further highlighted that the company’s key divisions represent additional revenue streams within its diversified agricultural and agro-industrial portfolio. He emphasized that these operational milestones—the functioning 5-tonne feed mill, key divisions like poultry operations, and the upcoming 2,000-acre expansion—are anticipated to lead to improved audited financial results in 2026 and subsequent years.
