Shareholders of Fidson Healthcare Plc have approved a dividend payout of ₦1.50 per 50 kobo ordinary share, amounting to a total of ₦3.6 billion. The approval was given during the company's 27th Annual General Meeting which was held virtually on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
The dividend distribution follows a historic financial year for the pharmaceutical manufacturer. The company recorded a revenue of ₦119.06 billion, making it the first pharmaceutical company in Nigeria to surpass the ₦100 billion annual revenue milestone.
The Founder and Chairman of Fidson, Fidelis Ayebae, stated that the performance reflects the dedication of the company's workforce and the effectiveness of its long-term growth strategy. He also expressed appreciation to the Federal Government of Nigeria for policies that have improved the operating environment for local pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Mr. Ayebae added that ongoing expansion projects are at advanced stages. Once completed, these projects are expected to position Fidson as the largest and most sophisticated pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Biola Adebayo, reaffirmed the company's commitment to sustaining growth through innovation and strategic investments. He noted that the company will focus on deepening manufacturing capabilities, widening its product portfolio, and leveraging emerging opportunities across Africa.
The meeting also marked the one-year anniversary of leadership transitions at both the Board and Management levels. Key officials present at the meeting included Commercial Director Mr. Ola Ijimakin, Non-Executive Director Mrs. Hannah Oyebanjo, Finance Director Mr. Imokha Ayebae, Company Secretary Mr. Yomi Adebanjo, and Non-Executive Director Dr. (Mrs.) Amina Muhammed-Baloni.
