Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited has officially denied rumours of a fresh petrol price increment. The company confirmed that its ex-depot price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) remains unchanged at N1,275 per litre.

This clarification was issued in a statement on Wednesday, addressing circulating reports of a price adjustment. The refinery emphasized that its current pricing structure has not been altered.

The company stated that maintaining its current prices is part of a broader strategy to support stability in the domestic fuel market and mitigate the impact of external economic shocks on Nigeria.

Dangote Refinery highlighted that it is deliberately absorbing rising global and operational cost pressures. This approach aims to reduce inflationary risks and bolster economic stability.

The refinery also noted that its stable pricing helps cushion businesses, transport operators, manufacturers, and households. It underscored its role in supporting energy affordability within Nigeria's downstream sector.

The company confirmed it continues to operate amidst volatility in global crude oil and refined product markets, while also working to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply across the country.
